Potty Training

This is a post I will show Aldo one day and he'll be embarrassed by it. Haha! Anyway, Aldo is officially daytime potty trained! YAY!!! He does really well with asking to go even when we're at the store or someone's house. We're still working on nighttime which is much harder. Aldo loves to relax in bed when he wakes up so we're having trouble getting him to use the potty right when he wakes up. He's super proud of himself though and so are we!

Potty Time... Excellent

Sorry about the Wayne's World title there... but I couldn't resist. As the title suggests we have officially begun potty training. I know that E is not even two and I'm sure some of you think I'm absolutely crazy for doing so. However, remember that post a year or so ago about cloth diapers and how kids in them can potty train faster? Well, they're working. Around Thanksgiving time or so, Eliel began to tell us when he had messed his diaper. He was not very happy to sit in one when he had done so. With all the craziness of the holidays, I figured it wasn't a very good time to try and potty train our little guy so once the holiday were over, we gave it a try. We started with a naked day. Basically, Eliel ran around naked and as soon as I would notice that he was about to or starting to go, I would rush him to the potty. That worked quite well and after only a few hours, he was able to tell me when he needed to go. That was about two weeks ago. Pr

11 months

11 months Eliel turned 11 months old today. He spent the day doing what he does best: playing. :) Some of his favorite toys include his activity cube, blocks, books and of course a spoon and metal bowl. Eliel now loves playing upstairs because he can crawl between his room and Mommy & Daddy's room. Distance makes no difference anymore! This little guy is on the move. He can easily maneuver his walker to get where he needs to go. He still has a little trouble trying to climb the stairs but that is usually because he's trying to do it too fast. We still need to work on going down. Adam and I laugh when he walks because he's so small but moves so fast. As Adam said earlier, he walks like C3PO but sounds like R2D2! :P Eliel has also discovered that he can protest when he doesn't like something.
