Potty Training

This is a post I will show Aldo one day and he'll be embarrassed by it. Haha! Anyway, Aldo is officially daytime potty trained! YAY!!! He does really well with asking to go even when we're at the store or someone's house. We're still working on nighttime which is much harder. Aldo loves to relax in bed when he wakes up so we're having trouble getting him to use the potty right when he wakes up. He's super proud of himself though and so are we!

Potty Time... Excellent

Sorry about the Wayne's World title there... but I couldn't resist. As the title suggests we have officially begun potty training. I know that E is not even two and I'm sure some of you think I'm absolutely crazy for doing so. However, remember that post a year or so ago about cloth diapers and how kids in them can potty train faster? Well, they're working. Around Thanksgiving time or so, Eliel began to tell us when he had messed his diaper. He was not very happy to sit in one when he had done so. With all the craziness of the holidays, I figured it wasn't a very good time to try and potty train our little guy so once the holiday were over, we gave it a try. We started with a naked day. Basically, Eliel ran around naked and as soon as I would notice that he was about to or starting to go, I would rush him to the potty. That worked quite well and after only a few hours, he was able to tell me when he needed to go. That was abou...

5 months old

Aldo is getting so big and so much fun to be around! He is a very smiley baby and loves to laugh and giggle at just about anything. He is so in love with Eliel and watches everything he does. I can lay him in front of Eliel while he is playing and Aldo will watch him for 20-30 minutes sometimes. As long as Eliel is making noises and moving his toys around, Aldo is happy. Aldo now weighs a whopping 16 pounds, 6 ounces which puts him at the 48th percentile. That's quite a jump from last month at the 30th percentile! It wasn't surprising though because this boy always seems to be hungry. He also grew and inch and a half in only a month and is now 26.5 inches which is the 78th percentile. He's definitely taking after Daddy there! All in all, Aldo is a healthy boy. We did find out though (somewhat by accident) that he does have a milk protein intolerance. What that means is that he can't handle milk proteins in the milk he drin...
