Nursery

While I had every intention of posting this over the weekend, it just didn't happen.  Better late then never, right?

Our nursery furniture is absolutely gorgeous.  It's made by Young America and what we liked about it is that it will grow with our baby.  The crib turns into a toddler bed and finally you can use it as a headboard and foot board for a standard bed as well.  (We're hoping to not have to buy this kid furniture again, can you tell? :)  We chose a walnut stain so that it matched the rocking chair we have already.  The chair is Grandma Thoma's old rocking chair and we are thrilled to have it and be able to use it.

The changing table also is really a dresser and the top piece will eventually come off when we're ready.  See what I mean... no more furniture for this kid!

We also hung some of the artwork but we're waiting to hang the rest until we have some more 'things' in the room.  Don't want to put an unnecessary hole in a freshly painted wall!

Adam's favorite part of the nursery is the carpet.  It's called a cozy shag (for a baby's room?!?!) and it the softest carpet ever!  Adam says he will sleep on it and little does he know, there will likely be nights where he might just have to do that!
The nursery is really coming along!  Thankfully it's good until after the holidays.  At that point, we'll start really getting it ready for the little one!
