Eliel and soccer have a love hate relationship. I think he truly loves playing but the circumstances in which he has to go through to do so are sometimes rough for him. You see, Eliel stays after preschool one day a week to practice soccer. He enjoys it once he gets there but he has to eat lunch at preschool beforehand and he apparently doesn't like that part. So much so that he basically refuses to eat him lunch. Yet when he gets on the field, he plays his heart out while other kids are sitting on the sidelines. What a crazy kid.
Then, on Sundays, he plays 'games'. It fun to watch him and once he gets involved he's fine but we usually have a little freak out beforehand for the games as well. Poor kid. He loves playing defense and takes it to heart when the other teams scores a goal. He's just a really sensitive kid! The smile on his face when he does well makes me think he still wants to do it though so I hope I'm not pushing him too much. Take a quick peek at our little soccer player and don't mind Aldo in the background yelling 'go go go'!
