USS Midway

One of the things we were so excited to do in San Diego was visit the USS Midway Museum.  It's a retired air craft carrier turned into a museum.  I read a bunch of reviews about it before going and most people said they spent 4-6 hours on it.  I was a little skeptical at first but honestly, we could have spent even more time on the boat as we didn't get to see it all!
The ship is massive and the way the museum is designed, they take you on walking tours through certain parts of the ship.  Our favorite was the below deck areas which included the mess hall, doctor, dentist and storage.  Eliel had a blast running up and over each knee wall that separated the sections on the boat.  Adam enjoyed talking to all the docents who had served in the Navy.

What made the day better was spending it with Fernando and his girlfriend, Marcella!  We spent the entire day at the museum with them and went to dinner afterwards too.  The boys enjoyed their company as well!

I could probably write pages about our day on this boat but if you're even in San Diego, I would suggest you just visit it!  Meanwhile, enjoy our picture tour for you!
