Two year stats

We finally got a visit to the pediatrician for Aldo to check on his health.  It's no surprise that he is doing great!  The doctor was very impressed with his speech and vocabulary and especially his jumping ability! :)
Aldous weighs 26 lbs, 13oz which places him at the 35th percentile for weight.  He is 35 inches tall which is the 66th percentile for height.  That's not very surprising considering Adam's height.  Everything else in the appointment checked out just fine and we were on our way.  No shots this time!
Aldo's eating habits are that of a typically toddler.  He absolutely loves noodles and will request them for every meal.  He does eat lots of fruit although lately he does not seem to like kiwi or blackberries.  It's kind of hard to get him to eat vegetables but I think that's pretty par for the course.  He will eat tomatoes for days though so I guess that's good.  He also pretty much refuses to eat meat just like Eliel.  He loves cheese though and will eat hard boiled eggs so at least he's getting some protein.  I'm not sure what we did to not get either of our kids to like meat, especially since we eat meat pretty much every night for dinner.
Aldo loves to play with Eliel and even when Eliel is away at preschool, Aldo generally chooses to play with Eliel's 'big boy' toys.  It's amazing how fast Aldo has outgrown some of the more toddler toys that Eliel played with much longer.  Trucks, cars, airplanes and army men pretty much make up most of our toys.  I still have a lot of the younger toys and I'm having trouble parting with them because it means Aldo is growing up.  Aldo is very good at independent play and I love liste

ning to his imagination.  He truly has a mind of his own!  (And imitates Daddy and Eliel quite well!)
Yes, the terrible twos have again graced us with their presence.  Aldo does not really throw too many tantrums but when he does. it doesn't take too long to calm him down.  Sadly, usually the reason he is throwing a tantrum is because his brother had taken a toy from him or won't play with him.  It's fun to watch both the boys learn to deal with each other.  When they place nicely, it's so adorable.  But when they're both in a bad mood... look out! :)
We are so thankful that Aldo is a happy, healthy little two year old.  I can only imagine the fun in store for us this year and can't wait to experience it all with him!
