Spring Update

Well technically it's spring but it sure doesn't feel like it around here.  The kids and I are aching to get outside and play but unfortunately, the weather hasn't been cooperating.  Nonetheless, we're trying to make the most of it!

Since my last post was about Eliel counting, I had to make sure I took a quick video of Aldo counting.  He will not be outdone by his brother!  Aldo counts

Since it's been cold, we've been looking for things to do inside and so we headed to the local nature center.  Aldo was entranced by the turtles and I'm sure once he realizes he can ask for one for a pet, he will.

The boys, Gram Joann and I also checked out the Barrington Library.  It had a slide, tree house and other fun activities that kept us busy for a whole morning.

Although it's been cold, we've been itching to go back to the zoo since last fall so this past weekend, we headed there.  It was a little chilly but most of the cool exhibits are inside so it's just about walking from one place to another.  The boys had a blast and it was nice to get some fresh air even though it was cold.

Finally, while on spring break, we had a play date with Eliel's friends from preschool at a trampoline park.  We've never been before but will definitely be going back!  So much fun!  We went during toddler time so there weren't any kids older than 6.  It was great for them to be able to play and not have to worry about big kids bouncing them and hurting them.  Eliel has already asked if we can take Daddy there about ten times! :)
