Halloween

So this year for Halloween, the boys had a very good idea what they wanted to be early on.  Aldo wanted to be an army man and Eliel wanted to be a space shuttle.  The first one was very easy and we quickly bought an outfit for Aldo.  Eliel's on the other hand, was a bit of challenge.  In the end, it wasn't too difficult and Daddy did an amazing job of using recyclables to create perfect space shuttle backpack  that Eliel was able to wear.
Here's an evolution of the space shuttle:

Eliel was so excited by the outcome and loved showing it off at school.

After initially wanting to be an soldier, Aldo went through a few other choices.  His second choice was a blue dinosaur.  I began buying all the supplies to make that costume when he again changed his mind and wanted to be a turtle.  At this point, Adam and I decided we were going with his first choice of a soldier.  However, Aldo wasn't done changing his mind.  Out of nowhere, he decides that he wants to be an egg for Halloween.  What?!?!  We have no idea where he came up with that but he stuck with it for a good week or two.  When anyone would ask him what he was going to be, he'd reply an egg.  He was a little upset on Halloween when we made him put on his solider costume but he quickly got over it.
The boys had a blast on Halloween.  Eliel had his first Halloween party at school which I planned as one of the room parents.  He said he loved it and couldn't wait to do it again next year.  After school, Daddy came home early and we went trick-or-treating a little before dinner and a little but afterwards.  The boys enjoyed every minute of it and it was fun to spend the evening as a family!
