Michigan Trip

Adam has a very large job his firm designed in Ann Arbor Michigan.  He's been traveling there once a month but this time, we got to come with!  Since Adam had to work, the boys as I explored.

Although it was an extremely hot day, we went to the botanic gardens.  The boys love being outdoors and the gardens had a separate children's area complete with large logs to build with so they were in heaven.  We spent most of the afternoon there before picking up Adam from work.

After grabbing Adam, we headed to natural history museum on the campus of University Michigan.  Although small, the boys loved seeing the dinosaur bones.

We decided to take our time heading home so on the way, we stopped to pick cherries.  With the weather being the way it is, we were lucky to be there for the first day of cherry picking in the area.   The trees were heavy with fruit and the boys (Adam included) had a blast eating just as much as they picked!

That night, we drove to Chesterton, Indiana and found an amazing little area on the beach and while we didn't stay and watch the sunset, we were treated to some amazing views as the sun was going down!  We could even see Chicago across the lake!

Our final day, before going home, we hiked the Indiana Dunes.  While it was fun climbing up and down the sand hills, it was way more crowded than I ever expected and kind of took away from it.  Nonetheless, we had lots of fun!

It was short and sweet but it was nice to get away for a few days!  Hopefully Adam didn't mind us tagging along on his trip!
