Well now I'm feeling old. My baby turns 5 today. We had a wonderful celebration this weekend and while it's beginning to sink in, it's still hard to believe!
Eliel blows me away with his intelligence, thoughtfulness and dedication. He has a thirst for knowledge already at his age and he always wants to learn more. He's going to be very successful at school (and just about anything else he puts his mind to!) He is learning to get along with his brother and has definitely figured out how to manipulate him when necessary. :)
This weekend we had his birthday party and he chose an 'army man' theme. He was thrilled to choose a camouflage cake and was surprised by all camouflage decoration Aldo and I had picked out for him while he was at preschool. He was giddy with laughter the entire day! He was showered with wonderful presents that have already been played with and used!
Eliel also was able to bring his preschool 'Sleepover Sammy' home with him all weekend to celebrate. He gets to bring Sammy wherever he goes or does and then shares Sammy's adventures with his friends when he returns to school. He's had a blast bringing hi swimming (Sammy sat and watched!), to bed with him and played lots of games with Sammy. He's so excited to share with all of his friends!
Eliel has his annual doctor's visit next week so I will be sure to update with his latest weight and height measurements!
