6 month stats

6 months

Six months old!  This little guy is growing up to be more awesome each day.  You can tell by the smile on his face that this little guy is enjoying life.
We went to the doctor today for his check up and he finally gained some weight!  This little guy now weighs 15 pounds, 5.5 ounces.  That puts him in the 12th percentile... hah!  We need to find a really chunky baby that's  his age and take a picture of them next to each other.  I bet you'd laugh if you'd see the difference in size.  Eliel is still wearing 6 months clothes and may only have to switch to some nine months ones soon since he's getting too tall for some of his romper outfits.






In the business of food, this little guy has not slowed down.  So far we have eaten:
avocados
bananas
apples
pears
sweet potatoes
broccoli
carrots
cantaloupe
rice
oatmeal
and there has not been a thing he hasn't liked!  Everything goes in and stays in!  He does an excellent job of opening his mouth really wide and sometimes, you can even get him to imitate you saying 'ahhhh'! 
The doctor gave us the okay to basically feed him just about anything we can puree so it's on!  Next week we're going to start with dairy proteins and work out way up to..... chicken!  (Really, what else would you expect? :)



Eliel has also been working really hard on sitting up and almost has it down!  He can sit with a little support from his Boppy pillow and sometimes, he can sit all by himself for a moment or two.  The doctor said that's actually really advanced for his age, as if I'm surprised! :P








I of course had to take a bunch of pictures of him for his six month birthday (I even considered taking him somewhere but didn't want to spend the money!)  I should start another blog called the many faces of Eliel.  He has SO many different faces, it cracks me up!
