Hanukkah

Hanukkah has come and gone but this year, Eliel had a blast lighting the candles.  He was actually pretty upset the first day after Hanukkah was over that he wouldn't get to light the candles before dinner.  He also loved choosing which colored candles would get to go on the menorah each day (probably because we had some red ones!).

This year for Hanukkah, Daddy and Eliel made place card dreidels for everyone and Eliel got to pick where everyone sat.  It was quite cute and he was quite excited about the whole thing.  Being that it was 60 degrees on the day we celebrated, Eliel was sweated up by the time company arrived because he was running around like a crazy man!  He kept saying, 'Are they here yet?'  I can only imagine how he is going to be the week of Christmas with all of the fun family get togethers we have!

During the afternoon, Eliel treated us to some singing and playing on his ukulele, accompanied by Dad of course!  It was too cute and I will share his singing in another post!  You can see from the smile on his face that he really enjoys it though!

We had such a nice time visiting with everyone and we always wonder why we don't do it more often.  I think it's because we'd all gain 10 pounds a month if we did!  But all joking aside, the holidays are so nice because it forces you to spend quality time with the people you care about.  Can't wait for some more in the coming weeks!
And so the unwrapping begins...

Check out my cool new Storm Trooper sweatshirt!
