Glacier National Park

Our next day was spent in Glacier National Park.  If we didn't have the kids with us, I could have spent a whole week here alone.  The scenery is absolutely amazing.  There is a road called 'Going to the Sun' road and it is truly something you have to do once in your lifetime.  The views are unreal.  We chose two hiking trails to do all together.
The first was the Hidden Lake trail which is extremely popular because it starts at the continental divide at Logan's Pass.  There are many animals that can be seen here. We saw ground squirrels, marmots, mountain goats and even a grizzly bear way off in the distance (thankfully!).  The boys thought it was cool because most of the hike was in the snow.  They thought that was hilarious and left the hike quite wet because of it.

The next hike was a waterfall one.  We went to see St. Mary's Falls.  It's quite spectacular and well worth the 1.5 mile hike to see it.  The water is so clear coming off the mountains that you can see clearly to the bottom just about everywhere.  The boys loved walking across the bridge and feeling the cold spray from the waterfall on their face.

Unfortunately, we pushed the boys a little too hard and they were dead tired on the walk back.  Adam ended up carrying Aldo who feel asleep while hiking back and I carried Eliel piggy back for awhile.  So needless to say, everyone was exhausted after our long, but wonderful day of hiking and slept really well that night!
