Montana

As you may have noticed, Adam and I love to travel.  Now that the kids are getting bigger, we enjoy bringing the with us (most of the time!)  This summer, our big trip was to Montana to have a big family reunion with the Gold Family.  It was a splendid time and we made lots of memories that we will all remember for a long time to come.

At the beginning of our trip, the boys were super excited.  They had a ball at the airport walking up and back on the moving walkways in the terminal.  I think we spent close to 30 minutes down there!  They were pumped to get on the airplane and of course fought over who got the window seat.  The flight was generally uneventful and both boys behaved extremely well.

Upon arriving in Montana it was cold and rainy but a welcome change from the 90 degree weather we had left a few hours ago!  The only bad part was our plans for the day had to be changed.  It turned out to be a blessing in disguise though because we all got to relax, nap and get ready for the next day.

Our first full day in Montana was the 4th of July.  We began by going to a parade in a nearby town.  The boys were thrilled to see the 'army men' and floats as they went by.  Later, we went up onto Big Mountain to enjoy a lovely view of the valley below.  The kids loved riding up and down on the chairlift and running through the tall grasses on top of the mountain.

Later that evening, we were treated to a wonderful dinner at Adam's cousin's house.  She has two  boys Carter and Grant ages 2 and 7 months respectively.  Aldo and Carter became buddies fast and enjoyed each other's company.  Although we didn't do the 'normal' 4th of July activities we had a wonderful day!
